I am a writer, mother, artist and creative writing mentor living by the sea in Wollongong, Australia. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College in the US. I have had fiction and non-fiction published in magazines and online. I run numerous creative writing workshops for young people. I am the Facilitator of the Young Writers Group for the South Coast Writers Centre; I host the ‘Writers Room’ and ‘Young Writers Workshop’ in my home; I tutor writers one-on-one, and I run creative writing workshops in schools.
I have lived all around the world, in Peru, Spain, Italy, Samoa, Great Britain, and on the west and east coasts of the US. I have a Law degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies, but the study that felt most like coming home was getting my MFA. Of all my adventures, the work I am most proud of is helping young people discover, express, and celebrate their voice.
I adore writing. I adore creating. It is the thing that keeps me whole.
